Moores Hill, Indiana

Population: 597. Dearborn County, southeastern Indiana. Founded in 1828 as a farming community, Moores Hill grew around the establishment of Moores Hill College in 1854.

The college operated until 1917, leaving behind Carnegie Hall—a Gothic Revival building constructed in 1907 that still stands today. This building, and the ground beneath it, form the heart of The Moores Hill Thriller Series mythology.

Carnegie Hall

Built in 1907, Carnegie Hall served as the main academic building for the former Moores Hill College. The Gothic Revival architecture, with its distinctive bell tower and arched windows, makes it one of the most recognizable buildings in Dearborn County.

In the series, Emma Caldwell discovers that construction workers in 1854 found something beneath the foundation site—something that was documented and then deliberately sealed before construction continued. That discovery, and what it means, drives the entire trilogy.

Main Street

Circa 1908, Moores Hill's Main Street runs through the heart of town, past small businesses, the grain elevator, and residential streets where families have lived for generations. In the series, this is where Emma traces her mother's twenty-year investigation, talking to locals who remember Linda Caldwell's obsession with patterns no one else could see.
